Subject: Need song/band help!

Written By: lemon on 10/6/1999 at 11:30 p.m.

I heard this song on the classic rock station recently and it seems familiar and likely to be from the '80s. It's got lots of tempo switches and it's pretty rock (as opposed to an '80s pop song, of course.) I'm not certain on the lyrics but one of the lines before the chorus goes something like, 'I know I can't not start up a fight,' I think, and then the following line has 'devil' in it. And the chorus is basically: "I'm burning, I'm burning, I'm burning for you" (and then repeated.) And I think there was a verse with the word 'time' in it used throughout, like 'time is of essence' or something as one of the lines. Sounds cheezy... but please help if you know!

Thanks!

It's "Burnin' For You" by Blue Oyster Cult. It came out in 1981.
