Subject: Need some help getting these songs...

Written By: Vince on 10/12/1999 at 6:37 p.m.

Hi everyone,

I'm at the tail end of gathering what, for me, are the songs that help me relive the music of the 80's.... I'd like to find someone who has these songs and is willing to trade for them... I can offer a lot of other 80's songs, over 60 movies, pro wrestling videos (if that's your thing), the majority of the episodes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the entire run of OZ episodes, and the first season of The Sopranos... the songs I'm still looking for are:

Situation,

Brass in My Pocket,

Harden My Heart,

Abracadabra,

Alive and Kicking,

Drivin' My Life Away,

Love Stinks,

Give Me the Night,

Dust in the Wind,

Renegade,

Ain't Even Done With the Night,

Double Dutch Bus,

Endless Love,

Just the Two of Us,

You Dropped a Bomb On Me,

Everybody Dance - Ta Mara and the Seen,

Don't Disturb This Groove - They System,

With or Without You - U2,

Nite and Day - Al B! Sure,

New Girl Now,

All I Need,

Send Me An Angel,

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,

How Can I Fall,

Cry - Godley and Crème,

Into the Night,

Empty Garden,

More Than I Can Say,

Emotional Rescue,

Escape,

I Love You,

Same Old Lang Syne,

The Best of Times,

Too Much Time on My Hands,

To Be A Lover,

Tender Love,

Rumors - Timex Social Club,

Time and Tide - Basia,

All Around the World - Lisa Stansfield,

Cherish,

Gonna Make You Sweat - C + C Music Factory,

Let Me Go,

Let's Go To Bed,

Why Can't I Be You,

If you can help, please email me...

Thanks!

Vince, Let me know what ones you can't get and I can get them taped for you. I just want radio bumper stickers and/or radio promo items from your area of the world. Let me know at my e-mail. -Dave

You didn't specify what format you wanted these on ~i.e. CD, cassette, LP, etc. I have about 20 of the ones you're looking for on various CDs. Please respond on this messageboard.

If either of you have a minidisc recorder I would be interested in trading with either/both of you.

I don't have a minidisc recorder but I can record/write regular CDs on my computer. I've made a number of compilations for myself. Works like a charm. What stuff do you listen to, Jim?

OK, no response to my request to take this topic offline. Here are some of the songs that I would really like to have:

Hooters: All You Zombies Dokken: Alone Again Charlie Sexton: Beat's So Lonely Midnight Oil: Beds Are Burning Blue Oyster Cult: Burnin' For You Utopia: Crybaby Motley Crue: Don't Go Away Mad Robert Hazzard: Escalator Of Life Utopia: Feet Don't Fail Me Now Traveling Wilburys: Handle With Care Hooters: Hangin' On A Heartbeat Huey Lewis: Heart And Soul Motley Crue: Home Sweet Home Heart: How Can I Refuse? Tommy Conwell: I'm Not Your Man Joe Jackson: Is She Really Going Out With Him? Red Rider: Lunatic Fringe Peter Schilling: Major Tom Duran Duran: New Moon On Monday Scorpions: No One Like You Saga: On The Loose Saga: Wind Him Up Deep Purple: Perfect Strangers Slade: Run Runaway Martin Briley: Salt In My Tears The Fixx: Stand Or Fall (The version from the video, if possible!) The Kinks: State Of Confusion Van Halen: Summer Nights REO Speedwagon: Take It On The Run Genesis: Turn It On Again, Second Home By The Sea Boomtown Rats: Up All Night

I've got lots of 80s stuff that I can put on cassette if someone can help me get some of these...

Mostly new wave but I like a lot of different 80s music. Tell you what...why don't we take this discussion offline, since most people on the board probably don't care to hear it anyway. If anyone is interested in trading 80s music with me email me at jimmorgan@csi.com

Thanks!
