Subject: Vietnam song - help!?

Written By: Nicki on 10/28/1999 at 12:45 a.m.

Hey guys. Someone help me w/ this one. I think it's an 80's song. Sounds like REM but it's not. They play it once in a while on our 80's station here, Star 107.9 (Star1079.com) The song im talking about says like siagon, vietnam, nineteen, and then gives facts about vietnam. It sounds kind of robotic. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Nicki :)

By the way I heard that "19" refers to the average age of young guys who fought in the Vietnam War...

Paul Hardcastle, British producer. '19' was a huge number one summer hit all over Europe in 1985 - do not know about America, though. The same year, he hit the charts again with the quite lesser robotic/rather funky 'Don't Waste My Time'. Last thing I heard is that he wrote/produced the tune for 'Top Of The Pops', the UKs leading television chart show.
