Subject: Eye to Eye

Anyone remember the band Eye to Eye. They had a hit in '81 or '82 but I can't remember the name. If anyone has the CD or album for sale I would like to buy it. This thing is like non-existant on anybody's list of music for sale

The song by Eye to Eye that you're referring to was "Nice Girls", a moderate hit here in the U.S. in the Summer of '82. It was off their 1982 self-titled debut album. Unfortunately, that album is long out-of-print in all formats, and has never been re-issued on CD here in the U.S.

The duo barely managed to escape "one-hit wonder" status when, in the Fall of '83, they scraped the bottom of the pop charts again w/ "Lucky", which was the lead single from their second album, 1983's "Shakespeare Stole My Baby". That album is also long out-of-print, and like their self-titled debut, has never been re-issued on CD here in the U.S. Because "Shakespeare Stole My Baby" was basically a flop, they split up soon afterward...

I have both Eye to Eye albums on cassette myself. I never thought they were great; just okay. I still occasionally see both titles on vinyl LP and cassette in my record-store travels; I wouldn't say they're extremely rare...
