Wasn't it Denny Terio? I don't know if there was ever another host...Denny was the only one I remember. Hope this helps.

Yes he was the original host, known for teaching Johnny Travolta his moves for Saturday Night Fever. Denny was in an auto accident in the mid 80s and was replaced by TJ HOOKER star Adrian Zmed. Ironically both hosts have accused producer and boss Merv Griffin of sexual harrassment.
