Subject: Tough song id with not much to go on

Written By: Jim on 12/6/1999 at 10:53 p.m.

An 80s song just popped into my head, I don't know who it's by or the name of the song but I wonder if someone might be able to identify it with very spotty information...it seems like there's always someone on this board that can identify ANY song, no matter how little is known about the song.

Anyway, I only remember part of the chorus, that goes something like this:

Come on and save me Save me from tomorrow

I'm sure about the second line, not the first. Can anyone name that tune in the lyrica equivalent of about two notes? Thanks!

No sweat! :-) Your "mystery song" is "Ship of Fools (Save Me from Tomorrow)" by World Party, a moderate hit here in the U.S. in the Spring of '87. It was off the group's 1986 album, "Private Revolution", and would prove to be their only hit here in the States. Unfortunately, the album has been out-of-print in all formats for a couple of years now, although it was issued on CD here in the U.S. Therefore, it still shouldn't be that hard to find...
