Was Sheena Easton the only true definition of the 1980's fashion?

Ok - yes Madonna was a style goddess of the eighties but she was ( in my opinion ) an overrated tart and the ultimate example of American "Pop Culture" commercialism, just as ( or were ) the Spice Girls and the Teletubbies are examples of British commercialism. I admire Sheena Easton not because she sang a James Bond theme tune, not because she performed/toured with the AFKAP and not because she had her honkers squeezed ( well, allegedly according to THE SUN ) by Don Johnson when she was chosen ( allegedly ) from Carly Simon and Susanna Hoffs to star in MAIMI VICE!. Madonna sang and danced better than Sheena with a slutty charisma, but nowadays, when I try to picture Madonna in my mind all I can see is that same old trollop who ruled the eighties music scene. But when I pictured Sheena Easton in my mind, she's an Angelic figure of humble, good-taste. Perhaps it's because I've always believed that Madonna had achieved her status by what she did rather than what she had done, just like Courtney Love.
