Heh, can't say how many times I've seen request info for this song on this board... Anyway, the song is called The Promise and it was released by When in Rome in 1988. I highly recommend the album (it's one of my favorites), but unfortunately I haven't been able to find any info or other music on the band since the self-titled album. Guess that makes them a one-hit-wonder...
