Subject: Peter Schilling (Major Tom)

Written By: kramann on 1/9/2000 at 4:33 p.m.

I am searching for a CD version of the classic song in the EXTENDED VERSION containing mixed German and English lyrics. Does anyone know how to obtain a copy of this rare song? It is available on EP but that is all I know.

Thanks

The mix you are looking for is the 'Club Version' clocking in at 8:06. It's available on the 80's compilation 'Hit That Perfect Beat - Vol. 1' out on Oglio Records. Actually, both volumes are great since all the tracks on them are extended mixes of dance and synthpop hits from the 80's. Going by Oglio's homepage it seems that these compilations have been deleted from their catalogue, however, it is still available online from 'A Different Drum' for $15.

I have that compilation too (both of them) and that is definately the version you're looking for.. I recommend buying it if you can, there is some excellent music on their 80s compilations
