Subject: Toyah

Written By: Lonnie Frazier on 1/12/2000 at 5:51 p.m.

Does anyone remember a singer from the early/mid 80's named Toyah? My friend had one of her albums that she got when she was visiting England. The album was called "Once Upon A Time...Happily Ever After" ... my friend also had an album from a band called The Bogie Boys. Nobody seems to remember either of these and I am beginning to wonder if I imagined them!

Bit too hasty on that last post.

Toyah Wilcox was quite big in the UK. She had a few albums and was famous for her wild outfits and big orange (usually) hair style. She's calmed down a bit these days and was last seen presenting a daytime TV show in England.

Most famous single was "It's a mystery".

Boogie Boys ? Got me on that one.

Matt.

Matt-

Thanks so much! I remember a few lines from one of the "Boogie Boys'" songs... "On a saturday night, you're feeling alright, you go to all the places and hit the bright lights, every weekend the story is the same..." I believe the album was from the UK... ring any bells? Toyah on daytime TV...well I suppose if Paula Yates can do it....
