Subject: Planet P Project

Written By: Scott on 1/23/2000 at 9:34 p.m.

What was the name of the title of the Planet P video that MTV made a huge fuss about around 1984? I thought it was "behind the barrier" but it did not show up under that title in MTV2s run through the collection. It was supposed to be the next big thing but seemed to fizzle. Is it "Pink World?" "why me?"

HELP! I wanna record the derned thing but need title to know when to catch it.

Yeah, it was "Behind the Barrier". I seem to recall that in the video the song might've been paired w/ the other album cut "What I See", so it may turn up in the W's as "What I See"/"Behind the Barrier". "Pink World" was the title of the album that the song(s) came off of (the group's second). Yep, it was late 1984/early '85. "Why Me?" was the moderate hit off the band's 1983 debut album. All of it is great stuff, and yes, the double-length "Pink World" concept album should've done better. I have both albums on cassette, and still listen to them quite a bit...
