Subject: We all remember Missing Persons but,

...did you know that all of the band members where initially in Frank Zappa's band. Most, if not all of them can be found on the "Joe's Garage 1,2 & 3" albums. Dale Bozzio was Mary...you know..."on the bus". Terry Bozzio and Patrick O'Hearn can be heard on "Baby Snakes/Live". OK everybody loves Neil Peart, but have you ever heard Terry Bozzio's live stuff. Neil's got the rock thing down, but can he switch from Calypso to Hardcore to Reggae to Big Band all in one? Throw in a little role-playing during "Titties and Beer" and...WOW! My favorite drummer, followed by Stewart Copeland.

of course, of all the people in Missing Persons from Frank Zappa that you mention, you forgot Warren Cuccerlio (spelled wrong I know) who is even mentioned by name in one Frank's songs.. who's now in Duran Duran (actually has been unofficially since Missing Persons went missing...)

Subject: Can't con a conman

Cucurullo. OK, so it wasn't the hardest trivia, but I just wanted to see Zappa on here somewhere. I forgot the Duran Duran connection. You da man! I suppose the Mark Mothersbaugh/Rugrats/Devo thing isn't worth posting either, but I tried. Having once harbored a strong belief in my 80's "memory"...I have to admit I pale in comparison to some of the people here. One must always acknowledge a greater being...Love this web page. Could you imagine an "80's Convention" somewhere. Imagine all the hairspray :) It would be an awesome time!! "Chucky G's Den of Antiquity 2000"

there was talk last year on the messageboard about an 80s convention, but it lost steam along the way I think.. and don't worry, I pale compared to several of the people here on some of these groups.. only so much room in my head for trivia I guess..

trying to list what Mothersbaugh HASN'T worked on in the last ten years would be easier than listing all the stuff he's done.. if anyone is "The Man" it's Mark M. loved his incidental music on Rushmore, definately tied the movie together well..
