Subject: Life in a Northern Town

Written By: Wendy Gregory on 3/9/2000 at 8:37 p.m.

Could you help please. I'm looking for the name of the Band who did a version of Life in a Northern Town by Dream Academy (and the name of the track if possible). It was an African sound, very upbeat with an excellent video with all the people dressed as African animals (Zebra,Lions etc.,). It was done in 1999 possibly late 1998.

We would like it for a school programme we're putting together.

Hope you can help.

Many thanks.

There is an upbeat dance version that samples the chant from "Life in a Northern Town" that came out in 1998 (they used it on some commercial also). It's by Dario G and the track is called "Sunchyme." You can get the CD Single or the whole album "Sunmachine" at www.cdnow.com. This may be the version you're looking for.
