Subject: Old cartoon..

Written By: Chief on 3/20/2000 at 12:26 a.m.

Hi, I remember this old possibly 60's cartoon that ran in the 80s. It was shown with either the original Alvin and the Chipmunks or Mighty Mouse. It was about a bumbling scientist/inventor who always came up with these zany ideas and inventions that never worked. The scientist was tall, had scraggly hair, a big nose and a slight accent. He had a short, bald, mute colleague named Leonardo, and whenever his inventions or ideas blew up in his face he'd say "It's back to the drawing board, Leonardo." I remember watching this show many times as a kid. It had the same type of animation as "George of the Jungle" and "Tennesee Tuxedo"(I forgot the animator's name). Does anyone remember this show? What the name of it was, or any information on it? Thanks!

The scientist was named Clyde Crashcup and the cartoon was part of the "Alvin Show" (as in Alvin & the Chipmunks) that aired in the 1960's.
