Subject: My 80s story

Written By: Monica on 3/23/2000 at 6:52 p.m.

I know this may be stupid, but just I love this site! So I just had to share my favorites of the 80s in order as best I can remember (I'm only 23 so I was a youngun then!

As far back as I can remember liking music or anything was in 2nd grade. I remember my favorite song was "Puttin On the Ritz". The I went through a very short phase of liking Ricky Schroder. I guess I knew at that young age he was too squeaky clean! Then I saw Growing Pains and starting liking Kirk Cameron. My cousin and I memorized the episode with Mike's Uncle Bob(well his ghost!)

Probably around 1984 is when I really started liking music. My cousin got me into Duran Duran (like everyone else then) and we went through a huge craze for a few years, probably around 86 actually, I started collecting magazines and had my my walls covered at 8 years old. In 1986-87, I started liking Jon Bon Jovi. That didn't last for very long, because I discovered Poison in 1987 and the rest is history. A few years later I was into everything rock/metal. I now loved Ozzy instead of thinking he was the devil! Around the same time I also fell in love with everyone in The Lost Boys (except Jami Gertz of course). Well that's my little story, hope I didn't bore anyone too much! Monica I also went through the wrestling craze too. Anybody remember Rock N'Roll Express?
