Subject: DOUBLE DARE

Written By: STILES on 3/24/2000 at 3:44 a.m.

I don't know about anyone else here, but I have pretty fond memories of that kid's game show DOUBLE DARE, from growing up in the late 80s. Anyone see this new Double Dare 2000 crap? Man, things were so much cooler back then. Nickelodeon itself was a lot cooler back then. Wish Nick would at least rerun the old Double Dare (and other classic Nick shows from when I was growing up --- YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON TELEVISION being one) for kids nowadays to check out -- and see how superior it is. Marc Summers would kick that new guy's ass!

Speaking of rerunning old stuff, how many here wish MTV would pull out some REMOTE CONTROL? Should start a petition or something.

----- Stiles, awaiting the return of Clear Pepsi

I agree, Nickelodeon was Much Better in the 80's and even part of the 90's UNTIL they Started running "Nick Toons", Now, it Stinks. I also agree about Double Dare, the New cast is not as good as the old "Marc Summers, Harvey", and that they should run the Reruns of Old Show of the 80s.

John Wilcox If CON is the opposite of PRO, Wouldn't that make CONgress the opposite of PROgress?

I haven't seen the new episodes of Double Dare, but I used to love that show. I kinda wanted to be on it when I watched it. I totally agree with you about the new one sucking though, because it will never top the original, especially if they replaced Marc Summers.

I loved Remote Control. I myself am waiting on re-runs of Headbangers Ball...but that's just me.
