Subject: Unknown TV Program Title

My friend has been trying to think of the name of a show for three weeks. He described it as kind of an "Indiana Jones" show--the leading man had a monkey as his sidekick. The guy that played in the first Indiana Jones movie as Harrison Ford's friend who helped him find the arc was actually in it as the pilot of the plane that the main character flew around the world in to solve mysteries. He said it was on early to mid 80's. I have no idea what he's talking about--do you?????

I'm wondering if you're talking about "Tales of the Gold Monkey". It was on ABC and it starred Steven Collins (from "7th Heaven). His sidekick was a dog with an eyepatch named Jake.
