I believe he had a connection as a freind of Jon BonJovi's. He either worked with Jon on something or vice versa. "Into The Night" was a hit twice - first in 1980 and again in 1989. Don't know whatever happened to him though.

I remember him performing on the John Davidson Show in the early 80s. Alot of people think he is black because of his voice and the lack of airtime as I dont think there were any videos of that song? Or was there?

Alot of people thought Dan Hartman who did "I Can Dream About You" was black too because of the video taken from the STREETS OF FIRE movie with the lovely Diane Lane.

When I was a senior in High School in 1989, the song got alot of airplay and requests in the Phoenix area and helped it rise back onto the charts. Few songs have done this in history, another would be "When I'm With You" which shot up to number one 12 years ago by the disbanded group Sheriff. Poor guys tried to get together again to shoot a video for their number one song and were not allowed so they formed a new band called Alias, and had a hit with "More Than Words Can Say" in 1990.

Another group to fall off the charts and come back later with the same song would be UB40's cover of "Red Red Wine"
