Subject: Help me name a cartoon character

Written By: Missy on 4/12/2000 at 8:27 p.m.

Does anyone know the name of the big rooster in the Tom and Jerry cartoons, or was it Bugs Bunny hour? He always said "Hey boy, I say, I say" and he taught a small little chicken his tricks. If anyone knows his name please let me know!

The big rooster is Foghorn Leghorn from the Warner Brothers/Looney Toons shows. The little brown bird is Henry Hawk, who is a chicken hawk, but is too young to be sure what a chicken looks like. Foghorn has had Henry after the dog, and Sylvester the Cat at times. The little yellow one, who I don't remember ever talking is the son of Widow Hen, a.k.a. "Prissy" I think he was called Eggbert sometimes.

If you don't get the Cartoon Network, check out their website!

Wow, no offense, but you must be really young (I thought everyone knew that cartoon). That character is a Looney Tunes character, Foghorn Leghorn. The small chicken was a chicken hawk.

He's found in the Bugs Bunny Cartoons and his name is Foghorn Leghorn. I love that rooster! The small little "chicken" is Henery Hawk, a baby chicken hawk. But I really love it when he picks on that dog!

actually, Foghorn Leghorn does train a small chicken his tricks, there's a couple of cartoons where he's trying to win the affection of a widow.. little Eggbert or something of that nature...

its funny this came up actually.. I was talking about it just the other day with my mother.. she had said something about hawks, and I asked if it was a "Chicken Hawk"..

man I wish I got the Cartoon Network and not the lame Disney Toon channel on my cable system.. its been awhile since I've seen some good cartoons.. the WB channel is like Pokemon all day every day now.. die electric rat, DIE!

I just recently got both the Cartoon Network and Toon Disney put on my cable system (boy, are those Court TV fans mad!) and Cartoon Network is a zillion times better. (Actually, Cartoon Network had been on my cable already, but I had to pay extra and get a descrambler box to get it. They replaced Court TV with Toon Disney. But you also had to pay extra and get a descrambler box to get Court TV.) But I still like Foghorn Leghorn when he picks on that dog! (Hey, dog!)

yeah, they killed Court TV on my system for (drum roll please) The Golf Channel.. the invasion of the Boston Yuppies from the east kinda pushed that one onto our system.. how anyone can watch a game that's already pretty boring to play to begin with... ignited a big howl of protest..

I was gonna go Satelite a few months ago, I was pricing systems, even ran coax to my attic just incase.. but my friend at our cable company convinced me to stay since the new Cable Modems were beginning trial.. so I'm willing to put up with less than a stellar picture/sound since I use the modem more than I'll ever use the TV... especially since the Sopranos won't be on again until next MARCH.. ugh
