Subject: Cover Up

Can anyone tell me if the title song to Cover Up was 'Holding Out For a Hero' by Bonnie Tyler.

Also, what was the name of the lead actor who died whilst filming this series.

You are correct about the title song, it was indeed Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out For A Hero". The actor was Jon-Erik Hexum...I believe he killed himself, but I'm not 100% sure. April

Actually, Hexum, during a break from the filming of this CBS series in October 1984, jokingly fired a .44 Magnum containing both empty cartridges and powder-filled blanks into his right temple. According to a fan site, he was bored at the time of the accidental shooting..

I remember when his death was first reported, it was reported as a "possible suicide". It was two or three days later that we found out it was an accident. There was somewhat of a backlash in the entertainment industry afterwards, no more "playing around" with props, even supposedly harmless ones.
