Subject: Class of '86 Needs Your Help!

I am throwing a "Class of 1986" party. I choose that year because I graduated that year, and that I am an 80s freak. I want to know any and all great songs, in anyones' opinion, from 1985 through 1986. (a little give or take is acceptable!) You guys are, like, totally awesome! Thanks!

Well, this "80smusicfreak" also happened to graduate HS in '86. :-) There is actually a book available that lists all of the singles that hit "Billboard" magazine's "Hot 100" chart in any given year (including the peak position + the exact week the songs peaked on that chart). I own a copy of that book, which I find myself using constantly. :-) Since you're dealing w/ the '85-'86 school year, here's a chronological list of ALL the songs that made the Top 10 on the pop chart here in the U.S. at that time:
