Subject: Please tell me you saw "Manimal"

Written By: Doug Seaman on 5/10/2000 at 12:16 a.m.

First of all, this website rocks! It's totally tubular. Now, will somebody please acknowledge that they saw the show "Manimal" where a guy would actually turn into different animals to fight bad guys. I think he would turn into a black panther, a hawk, and something else. Maybe all kinds of animals, I don't know. Somebody please help me! :) BTW, I think my 2 favorite videos of the 80's are "Hungry like the wolf" and "Take on me". The 80's were just a good time for me. I was poor as dirt, but I never knew it.

I remember the show too. I was working at a comic book store some years later and people were always asking if DC Comics got the idea for "Animal Man" the superhero from it. I believe the superhero came many years earlier, and had nothing to do with the show, but that didn't stop me from liking the show!

Sure, I remember it. The show ran on NBC in the early 80's (82 or 83), but only lasted a couple months. Simon MacCorkindale starred.
