Subject: Fiction Factory

Written By: Eddie Jordan on 5/12/2000 at 5:49 p.m.

Just a short note to inform you of errors on the 'fiction Factory' web page.

History:We were NOT from England, but from Perth in Scotland. Kevin Patterson (vocals) and myself wrote the song in a small flat in 1982.We had just left a band called The Rude Boys.Later, we were joined by a friend who was working in London at the time (Chic Medley)The three of us started writing together and churning out songs like a factory.Cutting a long story short, C.B.S wanted to see the band (having heard the demo)but there was no band,it was pure fiction. We got another local rock musician/friend Graham McGregor (bass)to help us out, and auditioned several drummers. The last guy we saw was Mike Ogletree (drums)who had played for Simple Minds. So, we called ourselves Fiction Factory, signed to C.B.S. Our management was called 'World Chief'who had us on their books along with O.M.D.Many,many thanks for your web page. Yours sincerely Eddie Jordan.(ex Fiction Factory)
