Megan: Laura Palmer had some great ideas, but if you wanted to keep things very white, try the Madonna "Like a Virgin" look. I don't know what hairstyle you have but all you need is a few, big-bouncy curls, tons of hairspray and a FAT lacey ribon to wear like a headband, bow tied to the side. Tease the hell out of your hair too. Lace gloves with no fingers and lots and lots of hoop-style bracelets (white plastic or colored if you want). Big earrings, you will really need those. Gigantic hoops work. Consider leggings under your dress and a belt to cinch-cinch-cinch. Laura was right on the pumps. You need classic 80's pumps, bobby socks, rolled down, as many anklets or ribbons tied around your ankles. Other things that work? Mesh Tank Tops over dresses.

Hope that helps too. Kristen

Hey there! Let me give you a few 80s fashion pointers: For Halloween last year, I dressed up as an 80s newwaver. I wore a basic black sleeveless dress (for easy accesorization), with a hot pink elastic belt that I bought at a thrift shop. I accessorized with TONS of colorful plastic bangles, and mardi gras necklaces to create a Cyndi Lauper-ish effect. I also wore a pair of black pumps, with hot pink socks with the tops rolled down ala the cover of the "Valley Girl" soundtrack, and last but not least, I wore my hair in a high ponytail to the side, teased, and sprayed with hot pink hair dye! This summer when I attend the Go-Gos concert, I'm doing the same thing, only 10 times BIGGER, because the 80s were about doing everything bigger and better! Don't forget the blue eye shadow and glitter! Hope this helps you out! Peace, Laura Palmer
