Subject: A really weird 80s experience I had...

Written By: Laura Palmer on 5/30/2000 at 11:26 p.m.

...This past Sunday, late at night as I was trying to fall asleep, I was watching "Dune", one of my favorite 80s movies, on the sci-fi channel. Well, all during the commercial breaks, they kept showing commercials for 80s newwave compilation cds, and actually playing video clips of the songs they were playing. It was really tubular. Anyway, I fell asleep to the song "I Know What Boys Want" by the Waitresses. Well, since I was watching an 80s movie and hearing 80s songs all night long, I naturally had a dream about the 80s. I dreamt that I was in some sort of "space bubble", where there was a town of citizens who had lived there, for the past ten years, still in the 80s, (they never experienced the 90s). Everyone had 80s hairdos, colorful clothes, and the local movie theater showed nothing but 80s movies (Dune, etc.). Well, it was a pretty cool dream, which has really got me even more pshyched about this summer's Go-Go's/B-52's tour. Well, I just thought I'd share that with everyone! Peace, Laura Palmer
