  YES!!
Van HalenAs awkward as "Hot for teacher " is I rather liked it.
Especially the smart-allekey things dave shouts. I don't feel tardy! Heard you missed us we're back!...
The Cure I don't remember Cure videos. Except snippets of love cats and why can't i be you and hot hot hot. Maybe they played them when I was out of the room or later in the evening when I wasn't able to watch. :(
Go-Go's they had their drug and male-groupies phase but I loved 'em!  They were gutsy, out there and rock'n a little4 fun. Woo the start of girl power to the 5X!
Devo!  Ah, we laughed and laughed about that one.  Even tho you could reference what you saw in many ways, it's still quite unforgettable.
WhiteSnake  Now, I don't know why so many people cared so much about the "female hood ornaments" in these videos.  It was scandalous, fine, okay, but she was clothed....hello! And the song was good.
Toni Basil  I think we all have a love-hate going w/this one.  It's ok as a song but it is so derivative of seriously what she was getting at, choreographing a cheer, that it has been known to trigger some awful memory replay so that the subconscious keeps clapping, "oh Mickey yer so fine, AAAAAAAA! I started it myself again!

Men W/out Hats  Now, I liked the song better than the video. The person without height bothered me some.
I agree with your other picks but from a girl perspective I would also vote for:
All Duran Duran---especially the Reflex and Wild Boys.
Stray Cats  Stray Cat strut
Steve Perry Oh Sherrie!  It's not the best video but he can sing! And he gets the girl.

I have so many favorites, it's hard to narrow them down; does anyone remember when VH-1 used to air a 30 minute program back in the mid 90's called 'The Big 80s' where they would play nothing but 80s videos? I was OBSESSED with that show, and got to see every essential video from the golden era of MTV. I'm partial to the very early music videos, like ABC 'Poison Arrow', Thompson Twins 'Lies' etc. because they were so experimental and creative and looking back on them now 2 decades later, they look like avant-garde short student films. Another one I love and would give anything to find a copy, is The Motel's 'Only the Lonely' video where Martha Davis looks like an old 1940s movie star. A BEAUTIFUL video!! Ahhh...those were the days!

I remember that show. It's one of the first shows that introduced me with the music & the music videos from the '80's. Though most of the videos had a couple seconds edited out. (The intro or end). I aslo watched the MTV 500, specials that aired videos,, etc.  8)

I remember that show also.  It was my first taste of nostalgia, I remember all those videos from when I was in my late teens and it was great to see them again.

Yes I do, thats the only way I know of 80s videos.  I watched The Big 80s when I was in college from 94-96 and thats the only time Id ever seen music videos, except a little bit of Friday Night Videos in 90-92.  We never were able to have cable or satellite or anything, I could get satellite now Im on my own but Im too broke.

Of the ones Ive seen, my faves are Money For Nothing, followed by Sledgehammer.
