Growing up in Toronto, I heard Triumph played every 4th song on rock radio. I think it had something to do with CanCon requirements.
"Magic Power" might come close to the "Freebird" of the north.

..Notice the chance of sound from their mid-70's Zepplin sound to the late 80's soft tunes akin to Peter Cetera?

Music holds the secret
To know it can make you whole
It's not just a game of notes
It's the sound inside your soul
Magic of the melody
Runs through you like a stream
The notes the play flow through your head
Like a dream, like a dream.

I sing this song for the common man
For the people in despair
Bring my song into the world
And I sing it everywhere
The simple truth lies waiting here
For everyone to share
So hold on, and I will take you there
Hold on and I will take you there...
======================
Guess that means I'm going with "Hold On" (1979)  ;)

:D

Hmmm...I know I have a few of their songs, but right now I can't remember what they sound like.  ???

I shall get back to this poll when I've listened to them again.

Fight the Good Fight - takes me back to 5th grade when I shared a room with my older sister and she would have heavy metal music blasting at volume ten

I love all Triumph songs, but my fave is 'Somebody's Out There' :)

Some of you might not know this, but did you know that in the early 90's, lead singer Rik Emmett had a successful solo career as a pop artist?  He had a bunch of big Canadian hits, but none of them saw the light in America  :\'(
