Hi fellow 80's fans!  I'm a happy gal currently because there's fab news about my fav group, a-ha.  They've signed a huge new record deal and I can't wait until Universal gets them back on the US pop scene... long overdue for this amazing band!   8)

It will very nice if Universal gets a-ha CD's back in a regular store. No more hunting high and low all over the internet, no more paying import prices. I know this may not happen or happen right away but it I can dream, can't I?

Oh yes, You've got that right, RockandRollFan. That video was awesome - I've seen one similar to it on The Box yesterday but I forgotten which band it was for. It had the same type of energetic animation of the angry band but not the drawing blending into real life.

Ok, so now I gotta get the live one and the new one. :) Time to start searching online again. As for "Take on Me", the video is excellent, but I wouldn't consider the song the highmark of their career. Maybe in the US public, since it seems to be the only one that every gets any play (with Hunting High and Low, Sun Always Shines on TV, and The Living Daylights making very rare appearances). Overall though, I'm a bigger fan of the East of the Sun, West of the Moon album than Hunting High and Low. :)

Woah, just read the top link and they're planning a tour in the US? Didn't think they'd ever do that (have a habit of avoiding us). Time to start saving up money so I can follow them around the country.

Pretty sweet. I'll have to remember to bring my digicam when I see them. Problem is they're real sticklers against filming bands (or anything else for that matter) in the US. Are things a bit more lack overseas, or do you have to sneak cameras in there as well?

Bringing a Digicam into an A-ha gig is well worth the trouble. By the way is it going to be the same lineup??

Oh, that's good to hear!   :)

I love a ha, and like everyone else that listened to them "back then", I loved Hunting High and Low and even followed them into the Scoundrel Days albums.  Then I just kinda "lost track" of them.  :(

But then a few years ago, I accidently found their Headlines and Deadlines cd, and bought it right away.  When I listened to it, I was surprised at how many of their songs were, IMO, really good, yet in the states no one (okay--at least not me!) had really heard from them.  In any case, I went out and found  Minor Earth Major Sky and Lifelines and bought them, and I totally loved them both.
And, like you all, I loved the "Take On Me" video--it was so clever and so imaginative, and so different for the time.  I went to Kazaa (yes, I was one of those bad Kazaa downloaders  :-\\) and found some of their newer videos.  (They're not bad either, but let me tell you--though I LOVE the song "Velvet", THAT video is just  wierd!!!  ::))

In any case, I will get their next album, and if by any chance they hit my area on tour, well,
I'm there!!   :D

Though I don't know for sure, I would think so. It was the same guys on the last album, so..?
