The artist is peter schilling the song is called "major tom"

"Major Tom" was based off of a song originally done by David Bowie.
According to what I remember: Major Tom was an astronaut, who got stranded in space, and either-
A) crashlanded, but survived...
B) was forever stranded in space...
C) was stranded, and was cannibalized by his crew members...
Depends on which song you refer to.
A- Peter Schilling's "Major Tom/Coming Home"
B- David Bowie's original, "Space Oddity", I think it was.
C- David Bowie's "Ashes To Ashes"- quite the morbid remake.
