This tv show was on after romper room on fox I think at 6 or 7 in the morning on sundays. I don't know for sure if thats the right day or time. But , the opening credits would start with a girl going to someone in her families attic she finds a big chest and when she opens it she gets transported to another world.  I think there's also a well with a face in it that talks. I was also looking for the show after it. It was a real person ( not animated) version of the little mermaid. I think it was late 80's early 90's. I asked on the 90's messageboard but nobody has a clue. If you could help it will be great! thank you.
