Subject: Ferris Bueller's Day Off Music

Written By: lebeiw15 on 07/09/04 at 11:21 am

This movie had some great music--I know the name of only one song from it though.  Anyone know where I could find a list of the songs/music from the movie.. I don't believe there is a soundtrack.  Thank you in advance.

Hehe.. yes it is.  Whenever I hear it I think of Mr. Rooney getting on the school bus with his torn suit and beat-up face. ;D :D

I remember that song was also featured in Twix commercials, and also at our local rollerskating rink (mainly during races).

I also liked the song from the scene when Ferris was rushing home to get there before his parents as they were driving.

The only used in the film to become a hit from the film was Twist and Shout by The Beatles.  It was re-released as a single due to it's popularity in the film

There are 3 songs heard in the film that had already been hits prior to their appearance in the film:

Oh Yeah by Yello
Love Missile F1-11 by Sigue Sigue Sputnik
Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Dream Academy*

* an instrumental version was used in the film
