I still can't decide if it's affectionately nostalgic or sneeringly dismissive ??? The video came on TV a couple of minutes ago.

It's both nostalgic & dismissive. :) Which the song is about waxing nostalgia from the '80's, but may consider "uncool" today.
IMO, the video is a funny spoof/tribute of the '80's. :D

difinitely affectionately nostalgic! it was written for ME! well, you know, even though i'm not on prozac, my husband's not a cpa, and i really don't think i have an average life. but all those other things, yep, it's all about ME! ;)
