It's about a girl named Vicky who happened to be a robot.

My dh is Russian and when he came to this country he remembers watching this show.  When I tried in the past to share some tv nostalgia with him, he offerred this one up, has no clue about any of my childhood tv.  I recall watching this on Sundays around 6pm ish and being beyond frustrated that she always wore the same outfit, it was red and white maybe, a jumper?  Anyway, she was a pretty good actress when you think about it that she could keep up that robot shtick at such a young age.  And that annoying nosey neighbor she was also the annoying nosey neighbor on another family show with Sandy Duncan and Jason Bateman that I totally can't remember the name of.

The nosey neighbor on Hogan Family (Sandy Duncan tv show) and Small Wonder was played by Edie McClurg (also the secretary in Ferris Bueller)

I remember it too but I never really liked it.  I remember it being around the same time as "Clarissa Explains it all"

Yeah I used to see Small Wonder, it was a good show, I remember the theme song:

She's a small wonder
Pretty and bright with soft curls
She's a small wonder
A girl unlike other girls
She's a miracle, and I grant you, she'll enchant you at first sight
She's a small wonder
And she'll make your heart take flight
She's fantastic, made of plastic
Microchips here and there
She's a small wonder,
Brings love and laughter everywhere!

And oh yeah that annoyin neighbour  >:(

"Small Wonder" was one of the worst-written sit-coms EVER!  Edie McClure, though, is a brilliant character actor, and a very funny lady.  Does anybody remember her in "Carrie"?  She looked totally out of place in that gym class.  She is also featured prominently in "Cheech & Chong's Next Movie," which isn't so much a movie as it is a bunch of stoners with a camera and a few million to blow.

Max, I'm sorry, but you do NOT bash "Small Wonder" on my watch.  I loved that show, and it was probably the biggest thing that started my fascination with robotics.  Tiffany Brissette defintiely had talent to do the robot schtick foir so long at that age.  Trust me, the show was actually not as far-fetched or sci-fi-ish for the ra as people might think..in the mid-80s, a robot girl like Vicki WAS possible, believe it or not.  You do not mess with Vicki around me...remember that, folks!

I really liked "Small Wonder", despite it's silliness.  The kids were close to my age, like around 9 or 10 years old in 1985.  I had a crush on Tiffany Brissette, VICKI.  The boy Jerry Supiran/Jamie Lawson, was kinda fruity and just all around annoying.  I didn't like his behavior.

Kids today have Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.  But our generation had this show.
