I remember a kids show airing in the early-mid 80's on PBS.  It seemed that there were several kids who maybe printed a newspaper from an old house.  I remember a computer/robot/typewriter contraption that could communicate with the kids by printing out messages while it beeped and flashed.  Anyone else recall this program??? 

I do remember this, but I dont know what it was called either.

The show you're thinking of is "Read All About It".....they had an intelligent computer named "Theta", an independent computer printe ror typewriter, aslo intellignet but non-speaking, named "Otto", and they battled some creepy alien wizard called "Duneedon"...I beleive there was also some space traveling involved.  This is all based on my memories, so I may be wrong.,..I also didn't watch regularly, as my school schedule interfered.  But from the eps I did see, I loved the show, and really wished i had gotten to follow it regularly.

EUREKA!!  Right on Jared!  Thanks for the link rubix girl...the pics brought back a flood of memories.  I vaguely remembered some space travel, but I was not sure if I had been making that part up my self...

It is ghostwriter I used to watch it as a kid one of my favs it had like magical powers or had a ghost of someone living in it I don't remember
