Yes, Doug & The Slugs were pretty popular in their time. I was never a fan, never really cared much for them...but it's always sad when people fall ill and pass away.

Was sad to hear of the passing of Doug Bennett.
Doug and his Slugs were one of the great college and pub bands of Canada. During the eighties they played just about every University and college in Canada a couple of times a year.
