Subject: Dallas Co-Star Howard Keel Dies On The Eve of The Reunion Show

Written By: Indy Gent on 11/08/04 at 10:06 pm

Howard Keel, a Broadway musical actor best known as Clayton Farlow (Ms. Ellie Ewing's second husband) on the hit series "Dallas", died Sunday of colon cancer at 85. After Jim Davis (Jock Ewing) died in 1981, Keel replaced him as the patriarch for 10 years, often clashing with stepsons J.R. and Bobby. His musicals include "Showboat", "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers", and "Kiss Me, Kate". How sad and ironic he had to pass on before viewing CBS' "Dallas Reunion Special". He will be missed. :\'( :\'( :\'(
