were in florence to attend the Panariello tv show on saturday. they showed up without andy.
all of them have been asked about him, nick in a more diplomatical way said that he has got some kind of virus and have to rest for a couple of weeks more, john when he was asked if "we should start to worry about andy" just said "yes" and followed his sentence with a " i don't wanna talk about it". :\'(
that's all regards andy.
they had a new guitarrist for the tv show (they just didn't show his face on tv, shots on tv were mainly concentrated to the guitar/hands while playing).
they played sunrise and save a prayer (this one was a specific request of tv show production), it was a "half playback" performance (simon sang live upon prerecorded base).
they looked great, had a standing ovation, and they have been treated just like the stars they actually are.
they left florence for barcelona yesterday with their private jet

"Following a week spent at home in bed early last month suffering from exhaustion, guitarist Andy Taylor has been taken ill again and won't be able to resume work with Duran Duran until the New Year, when the band plan to embark on a 2005 world tour, that will kick off in Japan in late January.

Whilst Andy's condition remains without a specific diagnosis, doctors have said that he will make a complete recovery as long as he rests for the next few weeks.

Fellow band members, Nick, Simon, John and Roger, will continue with all planned live dates and promotional activities with a stand-in guitarist until Andy returns."
