Subject: SynthPop Groups of the 1980s

Since these groups don't get enough exposure anymore , I'd just like to see what everybody else thinks.

Maybe names like depeche mode, heaven 17, kraftwerk, or the human league may ring a bell...........

I liked the funky tinny sound of Trio.  I think some of the synthiest pop came from the Tubes.

Same. I'm not going list my favourites, because most people already know who they are (or could name at least one...) :D

Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, and Tones on Tail are a few of my favorites.  The Cars were kind of a mix of rock and synth pop, and would make my list as well.  My favorite song is Lust for Kicks, which is synth pop.

Love Eurythmics, always have. I didn't mind Pseudo Echo in their day. Like the Eurythmics, they attempted to move away from synth, but unlike the Eurythmics, it really didn't work! Heaven 17 were great too.

kRAFTWERK were pioneers of electronic music (actually Raymond Scott was the king) they were doing  it since the early 70's.
