Subject: 80's glam rock / punk clothes for winterguard show- Please help!

I've been looking in this forum for a while, and it seems like almost everyone either knows a TON about the 80's or has lived in it themselves. Unfortunately, I was born just as the 80's ended, and now our high school's winterguard is doing "Promises in the Dark" by Pat Benatar as our show.
The choreographer wants us to wear glam rock or punkish clothes from the decade (must be dark-colored). So far I have a dark blue halter dress with an above-the-knee hem, and plain black leggings. It's not 'punk' enough though, and I have no idea what I can do with it. I was thinking maybe a black t-shirt ripped over it? What else would work? Accessories would also be a huge help. Thanks!
