Subject: Saturday afternoon movies & series in the 80s

There were so many craptacular ones.
One that I remember distinctly was about this ragtag group of kids that found their way through a cave and into an underground world (which was animated; the aboveground scenes weren't) of dwarf/troll creatures. The series was about them trying to find their way back aboveground.
Anyone remember what that was called?

No, but I recall Fox having Saturday Action Afternoon when all the Marvel and DC Comics cartoons got shown again in the afternoon for kids who missed it.
Oh wait... that's the 90s.
