Has anybody here ever dialed, or knows someone who has dialed 867-5309(The number in "Jenny")?
Did you/they get get an answer?
Who answered the phone?
Were they cheesed off?
What exchange(area) is 867 anyway?

You're in luck!
I saw on an L.A. news channel KTLA a report from the CYBERGUY who found a list from a guy who dial EVERY area code with the number of the 867 song...it should still be posted on their site (whatever the KTLA news at 10)site is, then click on to Cyberguy and enter the search!
They even list what each person who answered said or if they got a disconnect!

I dialed it in just about EVERY AREA CODE months back and when I got to 204 (A canadian area code) I got a SONG PLAYING!! (it was that song) I just tried it again now and its still the song!!
Amazingly I didnt really get to many LIVE people..... Seems no one wants that # :D

You should Howard...... The song comes on and @ the end a recording says "The # you have dialed is not in service" (I am ringing from a land line)

It was a place in this area, so I'm guessing it was the same area code, 02904.

I heard about this a while back.
According to the Wiki page about the song, the phone number has been in use in various area codes in recent years.
