I pick "Take on Me", of course. :)

Honestly, Take on Me was the only song that held my interest.

Does anybody besides me think a-ha have a fairy tale vibe to them, despite being so electronic?

I think the radio version of Take on Me is inferior to the music video version.  Not just the video, but the actual song is better in the video because in the single version they end it by saying the chorus quieter.  The video song was more emotional imo.

Morten Harket did that in that you couldn't understand what he said.  "I don't know what I'm saying".  Well I don't either 60% of the time Harket.  He has so much range in his voice though, he's truly amazing.  Mags' keyboarding is the highlight of a-ha though.  Would anyone agree that a-ha have awesome synths?

Also a-ha are nothing like Duran Duran. This isn't directed to anyone on the board but a music critic online said it was easy to draw parallels.  I guess they're alike in both being Synth Pop and "pretty boys" but beyond there the comparison ends.  Actually no that's not fair.  They both did songs for James Bond  :D

Please don't get offended, but are you sure that you are only 15 years old?
In regards to the 80's - you really seem to know your stuff.

It really isn't fair of me to choose, since I never bought their album, but I went with Take On Me.

You know they had a 1993 album?  I saw a video from it on LAUNCH (http://launch.yahoo.com/musicvideos/lists/byalpha.asp?l=A&p=1)

I picked the obvious classic which is 'Take on me'. However, 'Love is reason' and 'The sun always shines on TV' are beautiful songs.
