I'd say OMD in sound, perhaps Tears for Fears in lyrics.

Definitely Camouflage and Red Flag. Voices & Images is one of our fav CDs to listen to late at night when camping under the stars. As for Red Flag, Naive Art was a great album, IMO. The song that still makes me melt every time is "Give Me Your Hand." :::sigh:::

Camouflage sounds a lot like Depeche Mode I must say. Of course, the only song of theirs I know is "The Great Commandment".

I can't remember who sings "Love is a Shield" but I always thought it was Depeche Mode and was surprised to learn that it wasn't.

Not really 80s with their first album being released in 1990, but so far as sound is concerned, Cause and Effect is very much like Depeche Mode, especially on their first two albums: Another Minute and Trip.

The Smiths' "How Soon Is Now?" sounds very similar to some of Depeche's later stuff.

Camouflage (...) "The Great Commandment".

It is a typical New Order rip-off to me.
While "Love Is A Shield" (1989) is more Depeche Mode to me.

I'd say Camouflage and Cause & Effect
