Hi,
I did some research and I found that the cartoon came out in 1983...but I am not sure when the dolls started being made. Those were sooo cute! I used to have a few of the dolls.

I remember and had them! They had dolls and a cartoon series. They were monkey-like things.

actually if you go to the montebello mall theres a store called extrene toys they have a bunch of them there i recently bought one for my baby....they are only 10 - 14 dollars for the small ones and they have medium and large ones....

According to Wikipedia, the line of Monchichi dolls were first marked in the U.S. in 1979, but I remember the TV ad jingle from 1981 or 1982.
