ya...i remember in the mid to late 80's....those cassette singles became pretty popular....instead of buying the whole tape you could purchase just the single.

um.....they were pretty popular into the 90's....and then when CD's became popular...that's when they started offering CD singles...which I think are a complete rip-off because at times they weren't much less money than buying the entire CD.

I prefer records over CDs. The only draw back is that you can't play them in the car and stuff. My uncle is going to give me his album collection(over 5,000).  8) Plus there is still music being put on vinyl its just harder to find. Also new prints of albums put out during the 'vinyl era' are still made every year.

You can listen to records in the car....If you put them on to tape that is.

Cd's are better because they last longer.

When people got cheap.

You know what's a good prank to play, if you're careful, open up the shell of one cassette and put in the spool of another :)
"What? This isn't Prince! It's HOOTIE!".  :D
