Subject: Need help with a Cliff Richard song
Written By: 80smuzikhead on 03/23/05 at 6:58 am
Speaking of Cliff, can anyone help me out with the name of a song? The chorus goes something like:
You were my one more(?) chance,
I never thought I'd find
You were the one romance.....
(2 lines I can't remember)
And I will always keep the best of me
For you.
It is just gorgeous and I might be able to find it if I knew it's name.
Thanks in advance,
Dee :-*

You've virtually answered your own question, Dee...
It is called 'The Best Of Me' and a certain Richard Marx co-wrote it (I'm not sure whether he actually recorded it...)
Much hoo-hah was made of it at the time (1989), as it was Sir Cliff's 100th single release in the UK...(I said he'd had a few...!!)
Depending on where you are in the world, it should be pretty easy to find on compilation...

I was just going to write "I've searched on several different sights and can't find any reference to a Cliff song with any of these words" when Paul proved me wrong!!
