i think it was new order, but could be mistaken. in any case, it was a B/W video made up of random celebrities and/or other recognizable faces singing the lyrics to the track. saw it on VH1 (volume turned down during a phone call) not too long ago and have been perplexed ever since.
any 80's brit band afficionado's help would be most welcome...

Was it the song Cry, it had that morphing that was done in Michael JAckson's Black and White video?

Didn't New Order do the theme song World In Motion for the English football team's 1990 World Cup finals campaign? Maybe there were random celebrities in that video...
