You must mean "Axel's Theme" by Harold Faltermeyer. Cool tune, but I liked "Neutron Dance" best off that soundtrack.

i love that theme....makes me feel like a cop...also the song when he first goes into Beverly Hills "Stir It Up" by Patti LaBelle
