Sunday Bloody Sunday (1983) and New Years Day (1983) ...with Pride (1984) coming a close third
Was hard for me to pick just two...I know a lot of people pan it, but even though I didn't pick it, I like a lot of the songs on the October album, along with Boy, War & Unforgettable Fire. I came very close to picking Gloria or Fire as one of my choices. Ended up with New Years Day & I Will Follow.
To be honest, not sure there's a song I dislike by them from this time period.

OOH! I LOVED U2 when they were Irish.
I picked "I Will Follow" & "Two Hearts Beat As One".

"New Year's Day" and "Pride". I got bored easily with many of U2's hits, but these two are ones that I still love to hear 8)

Definitely New Year's Day. Just as soon as I hit the "vote" button, I saw that I could have voted for 2. Oh well. My second vote would have been Sunday, Bloody Sunday.

I went for "I Will Follow" and "Gloria" - both great riffs.
I was never keen on "New Year's Day" and still don't like it much.

"New Year's Day" and "Two Hearts Beat as One". Those are two of my favourite songs of all time.
I just totally loved the War album!
