Didn't her follow-up 'Can't Fight Fate' come out in 1990?
Ah well, it was probably recorded in 1989, and it still sounds 80's (the musical 90's started in late '91), so close enough! ;D I actually preferred it over the debut.
"With Every Beat of my Heart" - boy, what a catchy dance/pop tune. The title track and "I'll be Your Shelter" are a little more on the rock side, while "Love Will Lead you Back" is a pretty ballad.
Although from the first album, I gotta give a thumbs up to the mid-paced "Don't Rush Me" - great song and underrated!

I love Taylor Dayne!!! I play her Greatest Hits CD all the time. My fave song from her is definitely "I'll Be Your Shelter"... such a hungry, soulful tune. But, all of her songs are awesome! :)

Nice one Phillip... I bought "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love". She did a stormin' version!
Out of that list I went for something a little more mushy with "Love Will Lead You Back".

It looks like the first "I'll Wait" should have been "Tell It To My Heart". Appropriately, woops!
BYW, I'll Wait only charted at #103 in early 1994 (although it did hit #29 in the UK), which sadly turned out to be the death blow to Dayne's tenure at Arista, who dropped her about a year later with a Greatest Hits and another single "Say A Prayer" that actually came from Soul Dancing, the much delayed, underperforming album. Much like Taylor Swift with Reputation, Taylor Dayne just didn't have the correct songs to write to keep her career afloat and even before the '90s were over, was already seen as a "remember her?" artist. She even tried to claim 2018 as a big anniversary tour for her 30 years in music, but alas, she only has about a show a month at B venues.

There seems to be a glitch with all these old polls. The first option is always replaced by another song in the poll.
